Roland Aurich, Chief Executive Officer of Siemens plc and Cluster North West Europe, will deliver a lecture entitled; 'Sustainability - More than a Green Approach' as part of the Distinguished Executive Address Series
Sustainability is a buzzword used in many different contexts with many different connotations. Siemens doesn't just talk about sustainability. The company has made the three areas of sustainable development – environment, business and society – the cornerstone of all its activities.
In the area of the environment, Siemens provides innovative products and solutions to reduce the impact of its own operations on the environment, as well as those of its customers and suppliers.
In the area of business, Siemens focuses on long-term value creation and targeted investments in future-oriented technologies that support profitable growth and give customers a competitive advantage.
And in the area of society, Siemens fosters its own employees and strives to be a good citizen in all the communities in which it is active. By being recognised as the most sustainable company in its category in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the past four years, Siemens is a recognised leader in sustainability and can demonstrate that sustainability is good for business, the environment and society.
This event is being run in association with i-nets.
