At home, at the workplace and on the move, digital technology is driving deep-rooted changes in our behaviour. These changes are happening at a dizzying pace: it's easy to forget that the things we today take for granted - from the iPhone and iPlayer to super-fast broadband, high definition video, Facebook and Twitter - have been with us for only a few short years. And now the tablet is, once again, transforming the digital world by putting the long-awaited promise of convergence in the hands of the consumer. The digital revolution is no longer a traditional industrial process but is moving with a self-perpetuating, dynamic and disruptive energy. To imagine you can control this process, even temporarily, is a dangerous hubris ... Ask Microsoft. Yet the opportunities of this economy are enormous. Harnessing them demands a different kind of leadership that balances confidence with humility and flexibility with discipline. How do you create an organization where these capabilities can flourish?
